Who Is Ashleigh Marie?
Ashleigh Marie is a true daughter of the South. Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, this fourteen year old troubadour manipulates a crowd like the strings of her guitar. Weather through her emotionally packed ballads or her intensely country up-tempos, her unique style of song and verse is certain to command your attention. You can catch Ashleigh performing cover songs that range from legends such as John Anderson, Alabama, Loretta Lynn to younger more contemporary stars such as Taylor Swift, Colbie Calliat, and many other country music hall of famers and those soon to be.
Ashleigh picked up her first guitar when she was just eight years old and although too many, that seems young to fall in love, Ashleigh and her guitar have been a five year affair that only keeps getting stronger. Ashleigh has been fortunate enough to have had Mike McAlister of Harvest, Alabama, as her guitar teacher for the past five years and aside from simply teaching her guitar, McAlister prepared Ashleigh further by teaching her Music Theory
Since first picking up a guitar, Ashleigh has been on the forefront of leading her generation toward a future based on music. She has played at several Christian Youth Rallies, been awarded in numerous competitions and has been asked to appear in a multitude of special events. At age fourteen Ashleigh has performed over 200 live shows in front of as many as 4,000 people. Ashleigh is a member of (HTMA) or Huntsville Traditional Music Association. She has become a recognizable face in Kidz for Kidz events, as well as, been on television spotlight shows.
When it comes to roots and rebel flags, blue-jeans and bandanas, and an original country sound, we invite you to hit play on your ipod, tune-in the radio or just kick back in that lawn chair…The rest is on us. This IS ASHLEIGH MARIE
